Most IT providers ask for your trust. We put ours in writing.
For certified clients, we do the response work at no added cost and back our services with a written warranty.
The response work, at no added cost, within defined service limits.
A written warranty, up to $500,000 per covered incident, depending on plan.
For certified clients with the required controls in place.
Eligibility requirements, service limits and exclusions apply. Full terms are provided for your review before you sign.

Your IT provider should have skin in the game.
We’ve spent years responding to compromised mailboxes, ransomware, and failed equipment that stopped local businesses cold. Different causes every time but with the same question afterward: who pays for this?
Where incidents usually start
01
Updates ignored
02
Old staff accounts left open
03
Backups never tested
04
Security software never installed
05
No roadmap for aging equipment
01
What we believe
Your IT provider should share responsibility.
Most incidents we've responded to start small. The business usually absorbs the cost of the cleanup on top of what it already pays for IT. We think the provider should carry part of that weight.
02
How we put it into practice
A standard that catches it early.
Every client environment is held to one standard: patches, accounts, backups and security software checked on a schedule, and a roadmap for what’s aging out. A third party risk assessor reviews our environment, our policies and playbooks, and the controls we put in place for clients.
03
How it’s backed
In writing, not just in the sales pitch.
For certified clients, The Big Sky Guarantee means we do the response work ourselves, within defined service limits. The Big Sky Service Warranty adds eligible payments up to $500,000 per covered incident, depending on plan.
For certified clients. Eligibility requirements, service limits and exclusions apply. Neither is an insurance policy, and the warranty does not replace cyber insurance.

3 incident types. Each with a response commitment.
For certified clients, these are the incidents the Guarantee covers, and how fast we respond.
Files are encrypted and an attacker demands payment. We handle forensics, containment and recovery.
An attacker gets into a mailbox, reads messages, sets up hidden forwarding rules or sends messages that appear to come from your staff or executives. We secure the account, investigate what was accessed or sent and restore control.
Backups appeared to run, but the restore fails when you need it. We handle the recovery.
The response work plus a written warranty behind it.
The Guarantee is our team doing the response work for the covered incident. The Warranty is the separate payment direct to your business.
The Big Sky Guarantee
We do the work.
Containment, forensics, eradication, recovery and rebuilding if needed, at no additional cost, within defined service limits.
For certified clients with required controls in place.
The Big Sky Service Warranty
Up to $500,000
Eligible payments made directly to the organization, up to $500,000 per covered incident, depending on plan.
For certified clients with required controls in place.
Eligibility requirements, service limits and exclusions apply. Full terms are provided for your review before you sign.
3 steps to certification.
Certification means the controls that prevent incidents are in place before either commitment applies. We handle this process fully for you.
01
Move to a qualifying plan
Our Professional package, Enterprise or co-managed services. Those are the plans that we provide warranty on. If you're looking for something else, let us know.
02
Get assessed
Our third party risk assessor walks your environment with us vetting the tools, policies, and settings. You get a certification at the end.
03
Stay certified
Keep the required controls in place and we maintain them with you. Prior to renewal we'll work with the risk assessor again to recertify your office.
2 commitments, neither are cyber insurance.
We recommend keeping a cyber insurance policy alongside both.
The Big Sky Guarantee
The Big Sky Guarantee is not an insurance policy. It’s our commitment to do the response work ourselves.
The Big Sky Service Warranty
The Big Sky Service Warranty is not an insurance policy and does not replace cyber insurance.
Incident response in Montana, not three time zones away.
Many IT firms subcontract incident response. Other providers have brought us in to support them with digital forensics and response.

Same day onsite
For contract clients, when an incident needs hands on equipment. A drive, not a flight.
