Small business — Great Falls, Helena, Billings, and across Montana

IT support for SMB in Montana. What if nobody notices for 11+ days?

Someone signed in to your bookkeeper’s mailbox with an old password, set a rule to hide what they were doing, and read every message for eleven days.

Our support is run by certified forensic analysts, so we start where most attacks start and work backwards in your environment to build protections.

The first assessment is free, and the findings are yours either way.

Our standard

Vetted, tested, and in writing.

Every certified business is assessed by a third party risk assessor and keeps the required controls in place. When your cyber insurer or a larger client asks how you handle IT risk, you hand them a document instead of a promise.

The problem

Nobody targeted you. The password from 2019 still worked.

Nobody sat down and picked your company. That’s the part owners get wrong, and it’s the reason it keeps working. It usually goes like this.

An old password works

One you used on another site years ago shows up in a data breach dump. Someone tries it on your email and gets in.

They read quietly

Nothing dramatic. For weeks, sometimes, behind a rule that files their messages into a folder you never open.

They learn your business

Who approves what, when invoices go out, how your staff write. They learn your timing and your tone.

One message from your own account

Sent from your real mailbox, on a real thread, asking someone to act. It looks right because it is your account.

And you still don’t know what else they saw: every email in that mailbox, every attachment, employee records, client lists. How long they were in and what they touched is a forensics question, and resetting the password doesn’t answer it.

If you already have someone

Already have IT support? Keep your own IT staff, or switch without a gap.

Most Montana businesses your size have someone, and usually they’re not bad at it. Fixing computers and defending a mailbox are just different jobs. Which option fits depends on whether that someone works for you or for another IT company.

If your IT person or team is on your staff, keep them. Hand them our written findings and have them do the work, or we work alongside them as co-managed IT. Nobody on your staff has to be replaced.

Hand them our findings

Your IT person gets our written findings, ordered by what could cost you the most, and does the work. The findings are yours either way.

Work alongside them

Co-managed IT: we take the security and compliance layer, and your IT person gets a specialist to call.

See co-managed IT

Co-managed IT is for businesses with their own IT staff. We don’t work alongside another IT company, so if that’s who supports you now, switching is the path. It takes about two weeks, and the second tab shows how.

Signature to fully managed in three stages, and nothing is cut over until everything is documented. We run alongside your current provider until cutover, so you’re never between providers.

Cutover

Timed around your business, not ours. Most people don’t notice it happened, because the work was done in the two weeks before.

Ownership check

Before anything moves, we confirm you own these four.

If your current provider drags their feet, we rebuild access independently. It takes longer, and we’ll tell you on the first call which kind of handoff to expect.

Your firewall license

Registered to your account, not your provider’s.

Your Microsoft 365 admin

You hold the admin login, not just a user seat.

Your backups

Stored somewhere you can log in to and restore from.

Your domain

Registered to an email address you can open.

Times you should call someone else

We’d rather tell you now than six months in. We’re probably not the right call if:

01

You need someone onsite daily

We serve Great Falls, Helena, and Billings, with same day onsite for contract clients. If you need a person at a desk every morning, hire one, and we can back them up with co-managed IT.

02

You want the cheapest number

We’re not it. Our price includes our software, plus the monitoring and security that keep a mailbox from being quietly read.

03

You only call when it breaks

We’re paid monthly, so we profit when things work, and we make that happen by patching proactively. If you’d rather pay per job, a break fix shop fits better.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What owners ask before the first conversation. If something isn’t here, the phone is answered in Montana.

What does small business IT support cost?

Managed IT starts at $75 per device per month on Essentials and $95 on Professional, plus a per user charge. Every price is on our pricing page, and you get a written scope before you sign anything.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. The term is one year, because your hardware warranties and cyber insurance run on annual cycles. No three year lock in and no escalator clause.

We already have an IT person. Can we keep them?

Yes, if they’re on your staff. You can hand them our written findings and have them do the work, or we can work alongside them. We don’t work alongside another IT company, so if that’s who supports you now, switching is the path. See co-managed IT.

How long does switching providers take?

About two weeks from signature to fully managed. We document everything first, run alongside your current provider, then cut over on a schedule built around your business.

Someone got into our email. What do we do?

Call us. We lock the account down, then work out how they got in, how long they were there, and what they read or sent. For certified clients, the response comes under The Big Sky Guarantee, within defined service limits.

Do you come on site?

Yes, when the job needs hands on hardware. We work from Great Falls, Helena, and Billings, contract clients get same day onsite, and most day to day support is remote.

We’re small. Would anyone really target us?

They don’t need to. Most small business compromises start with an old password from someone else’s breach that still works on your email. MFA on every account, the owner’s included, is the first thing we turn on.

Can you do single projects instead?

Yes. If you don’t want ongoing management, our project based support handles single jobs like a migration or an office move, scoped before we start.

How it starts

Here’s what happens when you call.

Twenty minutes, a straight answer, and nothing to sign.

Ready now?
Call or send the form. Someone in Great Falls picks up, or you hear back within one business day.
02
Not ready to change anything?
We look at your email first: sign in history, forwarding rules, and who can approve what. You get a written list, ordered by what could cost you the most, with a price next to each line. Yours whether or not you hire us.
03
Just want the number?
$75 to $95 per device per month, plus a per user charge. See pricing
