Cybersecurity and IT Support for Billings, MT
Plenty of Yellowstone County companies still run a 2016 domain controller in a closet behind the break room, with the admin password taped inside the door. We fix that from an office in downtown Billings.
Our office is on the fourth floor of TransWestern I, across from the First Interstate tower.
Same day onsite for contract clients across the Yellowstone Valley.
Incident response by GIAC certified responders.
“Seamless, with absolutely no down time in the transition.”

Response commitments for certified clients. Eligibility requirements, service limits and exclusions apply. Full terms are provided for your review before you sign. Neither is an insurance policy and the warranty does not replace cyber insurance, which we recommend having in place.

Up to $7,500 per violation, with no warning first. The Attorney General can also compel your data protection assessments.
A half hour call tells you whether any of this is your problem.
Plenty of Billings businesses are still out of scope, and we'll tell you if you're one of them. If you're not, the first thing we build is the data protection assessment the Attorney General can compel.

Our recent work.
Accounting discrepancies that needed evidence preserved
Their attorney brought us in to preserve the mailboxes and establish which invoices and emails were genuine and which were sent fraudulently.
Outcome
Documented chain of custody, ready if the matter goes further.
Caught at 2 a.m., before anything was encrypted
XDR alerted at 2 a.m. and we were in the environment before staff arrived. The attackers had footholds and were scanning the network and testing accounts.
Outcome
Locked out before encryption. No data encrypted or accessed. Hardened within two weeks.
The previous provider had lost their backups
Our first documentation pass found critical client data that had been backed up but wasn't recoverable. Nobody had ever tried a restore.
Outcome
Backups rebuilt and restores tested.

Penetration testing in BillingsQuestions Billings businesses ask us.
Is this a real office or a service area page?
Real office. Fourth floor of TransWestern I, 404 N 31st St, #414. You're welcome to come up.
How fast can you get to Laurel or Lockwood?
Same day for contract clients. Both are inside twenty minutes of our door.
Does the Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act apply to my business?
Possibly, and more likely than it was a year ago. The threshold dropped to 25,000 Montana consumers on October 1, 2025. If you run a financial business that assumed GLBA exempted you entirely, that exemption now covers only GLBA regulated data, although chartered banks and credit unions have their own exemption. We'll tell you in a half hour call whether you're in scope. This isn't legal advice, so confirm the answer with your counsel.
We already have an IT company in Billings. Do we need you too?
Often yes, and it isn't a criticism of them. Managed IT keeps things running. Security assumes someone is already inside. Many Billings organizations keep their existing IT provider and bring us in for assessment, compliance and incident response. We'll work alongside them.
What does this cost for a 25 person Billings company?
Managed IT is priced per device, plus a per user charge. For 25 people on 25 computers:
Essentials: $75 per device, so $1,875 a month for the devices.
Professional: $95 per device, so $2,375 a month for the devices.
Quoted on the first call: servers, network equipment and the per user charge.
Every price we charge is on our pricing page.
Tell us what you run and where your sites are.
The assessment is free. Thirty to forty-five minutes onsite, at a time you pick, and the findings are yours either way.
