Server upgrades, cloud migrations and EHR moves, done securely
You know what the project is. The server is past end of life, the practice is moving to a new records system, or new hardware has to be configured so it isn't a way in. The question is who does the work.
Projects start at $850. The scoping call and written scope are free, and the scope is yours whether you hire us or not.
“Lots of steps to take but they made it super easy for us.”

Every project is scoped and priced in writing before work starts, with 30 days of support after it’s finished.
What projects cost
$850 covers something small and defined. Deprovisioning an old Server 2008 box that stopped getting patches, for example.
A larger job: we moved a finance client's on premises file server to a secured SharePoint instance, rebuilt their network around it, and trained their staff on the new setup. That came to $2,500.
Most planned work runs one to two weeks, scheduled around your business so the downtime lands where you choose. Anything bigger gets scoped and quoted in writing before we start.
Every other rate we charge is published on our pricing page.
What we build
End of life server upgrades
Hardware and operating systems that stopped receiving security patches. We replace or decommission them and document what moved where.
Cloud migrations
On premises servers to cloud instances, configured with access controls in place from day one rather than added later.
EHR migrations
Moving a practice to a new records system without breaking clinical access or your HIPAA obligations along the way.
Secure configuration of new hardware and software
You bought it. We set it up so the default settings aren't your exposure.
Why a security firm and not a general IT shop
We do incident response in this state. When a Montana business gets hit, we're the ones onsite at $165 an hour, working through the logs to find out what happened.
That work tells us exactly which shortcuts cause problems later. Service accounts left enabled after a migration. Servers meant to be decommissioned that quietly stayed on. Backups set up once and never verified.
So we close those out as part of the project, and the documentation shows you they're closed.
Whether we're the right call
Working with your current IT provider
Most project clients keep theirs. We're not after the helpdesk.
These projects go fastest when one person with admin access is the point of contact, either your IT provider or your internal IT staff. That's how ours have run. We'll list exactly what access we need on the scoping call so nobody is hunting for credentials the morning we start.
When we're not the right call
If the project is a straightforward setup with no compliance requirement and no security exposure, a general IT shop will do it for less and we'll say so on the call.
We're the right call when the work touches patient or financial data, when an auditor or insurer has put something in writing, or when the system you're replacing has been running unpatched long enough that nobody's sure what's on it.
How it runs
Scoping call
Free. We find out what you're replacing, what's already in place, and what has to keep running while we work.
Written scope
Fixed price, timeline, and what's explicitly not included. Yours to keep, or to take to another vendor.
Build
Scheduled around your operations. You approve the plan, including how we back out, before anything changes.
Testing and handoff
Documentation your own team or your IT provider can work from.
Follow up
We support the finished work for 30 days, within the original scope. Anything new after that is quoted in writing before we start.
Staff training
When we migrate data, we train your technical team or administrators on the new processes, onsite or remotely, and hand over documentation of what changed so it can be shared with your staff.
Projects driven by compliance
If a HIPAA Security Risk Assessment flagged a gap, or a cyber insurance questionnaire asked about something you don't have, that finding is usually the project. We work from the finding and document the fix so it holds up next time someone asks.

Get a free written scope
Tell us about the project. We'll scope it and price it in writing, and the scope is yours whether you hire us or not.
