The wireless has been down for weeks. Your IT guy keeps coming out.
Big Sky Cybersecurity runs fully managed IT for 50+ Montana organizations. We started in cybersecurity and added IT support, not the other way around, so security is built into the support rather than added afterward.

It's not just the wireless.
When the same network issue keeps coming back, the problem usually isn't more hardware. It's that nobody has owned the environment long enough to find the cause and keep it fixed.
What fully managed IT changes
Look beyond the symptom
Vetted, tested, and in writing.
Every certified client is assessed by a third party risk assessor and keeps the required controls in place. For those clients, we do the response work at no added cost and back our services with a written warranty.
Containment, forensics, eradication, recovery, and rebuilding if needed, at no additional cost, within defined service limits.
The Big Sky Guarantee is not an insurance policy. It’s our commitment to do the response work ourselves.
Eligible payments made directly to the organization, up to $500,000 per covered incident, depending on plan.
The Big Sky Service Warranty is not an insurance policy and does not replace cyber insurance.
For certified clients on Professional, Enterprise, or co-managed plans, with required controls in place. Eligibility requirements, service limits, and exclusions apply. Full terms are provided for your review before you sign. See which plans qualify
Most IT providers ask for your trust. We put ours in writing.
On our Professional package or co-managed services, certification takes three steps.

How certification works
01
We put the required controls in place.
02
Our third party risk assessor walks your environment with you, and we provide your certification.
03
We maintain those controls with you, so you stay certified.
Eligibility requirements, service limits and exclusions apply. Full terms are provided for your review before you sign.
We make money when your systems run.
Break fix shops make money when they don't.
That's not a character difference. It's a contract difference, and you can check it yourself by asking any provider how they bill an after hours outage.
You already have somebody.
Here's what leaving would look like.
Cutover is usually about two weeks from signature, and we allow four to cover handoff and anything that comes up. Across 50+ transitions, no client has lost a working day when we've taken over. We take on no more than six new clients a month, so every cutover gets the whole team's attention.

We run alongside your current provider
Cutover, then close out access
Then we plan five years out.
Managed IT that only reacts is just a faster break fix contract. You want a partner that looks 5 years down the road to see how they can help build your IT infrastructure out.

Frequently asked questions
Pricing, contract terms, and the full tier breakdown live on the pricing page. These are about how managed IT actually runs.
How fast do you respond?
Our median first response for security issues is 10 minutes, measured in our own system over the last 90 days. It's a measured number, not a target, and a fair question to ask any provider you're evaluating.
Do we have to buy new hardware?
Usually not. We assess what you have and work with it. Hardware leased from your current provider or past end of support may need replacing, and your five year roadmap shows when to budget for it.
What's a five year technology roadmap, in practice?
A document that lists every piece of equipment you own, when it was purchased, when the warranty ends, and when the manufacturer stops issuing security updates for it. From that, a year by year replacement schedule with costs. Every client gets one. We review it with you every year, or quarterly if you have a lot of changes going on.
What happens if we get breached while we're your client?
We respond, onsite when it's needed, with documented chain of custody for your insurer and counsel. Certified clients get the response work under The Big Sky Guarantee, within defined service limits. We don't bill emergency rates to clients under contract.
Can we keep our internal IT person?
Yes. Plenty of our clients have someone internal who handles day to day work and wants a team with security depth behind them. We run co-managed arrangements as well as fully managed.
What's actually included in the $75?
Remote support, monitoring, patching including third party software, endpoint and server backups, managed endpoint detection and response, and security awareness training. There's no hourly billing for remote support; Essentials adds a per user charge. The full tier by tier breakdown is on the pricing page.
Are we locked in?
One year, tied to hardware warranty and insurance cycles. No automatic escalator. No three year term.
